Projects
Below are just a handleful of projects that I have worked throughout the years.
Workout Tracker
Build a CRUD application in order for users to add and update their workout as needed. Used JSON Web Tokens to authorize and authenticate users as they login, logout and save their current workouts as needed. Used Node.js, Express, and MongoDB for the backend server and React, JSX and CSS for the frontend client.
Crown Clothing Apparel
Implemented navigation and routing to access different pages. Integrated Firebase to handle authentication and allow google to authorize it with google sign-in and sign-up. Applied react useContext hooks to update the global state with useState and useEffect in order to add and delete items from the cart.
Underdog Dev: Non-Profit Organization
Built a “pop-up” message application to allow a dynamic interaction between mentor and mentee by applying React functional components. Styled and designed website using CSS that allowed “pop-up” to blend cohesively with websites text and colors creating overall functionality. Improved website responsiveness by collaborating with developers, reviewed and revised pull request, and debugged code for errors.
Water My Plants
Employed Yup form validation to confirm username and password conform with requirements. Implemented correction surrounding incorrect data retrieval issue stemming from Axios call error. Configured React functional components and forms to handle API data for clear access on the backend to receive input in plant maintenance tracking app
Book Finder
Fetched google api-books through the use of axios and recieved an array of book data. Mapped through the array to find specific details to apply it to the DOM. Passed data through props in order for components to work with the data.
Monster Locator

Implemented React hooks such as, useState and useEffect to fetch an api, manipulate the state and filter a list of monsters in the search component. Applied event handlers in the search engine to work cohesively with useEffect.
